2014 RONDINE Scholarships Program

  • The Italian Association  “Rondine Cittadella della Pace” works very hard on confidence building issues and, also with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it grants scholarships to talented students coming from Countries in conflict. Programs are now extended to Sudanese students interested in pursuing their post graduated studies in Italy in order to come back to Sudan and give their own contribution in their sector of activities.

  • Students, once selected, will start a three months trial period (Summer 2014) during which the association will hold an intensive course of Italian language and culture. At the end of this period, if their scholarship is confirmed, they will choose under the supervision of the organization’s staff their post graduated course (generally lasting 1 year and to be chosen among those offered by the Public Universities of the Central Italy). Students will also be involved in a training experience based on the principles of dialogue and peaceful coexistence among different cultures.

  • Recruitment is restricted to male and female students between the ages of 19 and 27. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent academic achievement in their school programs.  Eligible fields of studies are: Social Studies (e.g. Economics, Psychology, International Relations), Humanities (e.g. History, Education, Literatures, Communication),  Architecture or Natural Sciences. The only excluded Faculties are Law, Engineering and Medicine. Candidates must show a clear desire to overcome the negative consequences of conflict and hate and must be open to dialogue and reconciliation.
