APPOINTMENT
• In order to lodge a visa application, you are kindly required to book an appointment through the
• Kindly note that each applicant can lodge 1 application only.
• Remember to print your booking receipt with date and time of your appointment and to present it at the entrance of the Embassy on the day of your appointment.
• Cancelling an appointment is not permitted. No-shows will not be granted further appointments in a short period of time.
• Visa applications may be submitted up to 6 months before expected departure date.
• The Visa processing for Sudanese passport holders may take up to 2 weeks from acceptance of application and fingerprinting.
Applicants who will not be in a position to collect their passports personally are required to fill in the attached form authorizing a third party to do so on their behalf.

• Business/Invitation/Mission/Study/Tourism: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
• Family Reunion/Work: Tuesdays from 9 am to 12 noon.
• Visa pick up from Sunday till Thursday from 12 noon to 1 pm.
DOCUMENTS AND PROCEDURES
• Please read the list of documents to be presented for the type of visa required very carefully on the web site “ A VISA FOR ITALY “and make sure to submit all necessary documents on the day of your appointment.
• You must print the ON LINE APPLICATION FORM(FULL NAME AS PER PASSPORTS) and fill it in. Do not forget to sign it.
• You are kindly requested to provide originals and a copy of all documents.
• The Embassy reserves the right to request applicants to submit further documentation.
• Applicants may not delegate others to represent them, but must appear personally on the day of their appointments to submit the documents and provide their fingerprints (in case a short-term visa is required). Fingerprints will not be taken in any one of the following cases:
– children younger than twelve years of age;
– applicants who are physically unable to be fingerprinted;
– Heads of State and Government as well as members of national Governments including their accompanying spouses and members of their official delegation if they have been invited by Governments of member States or by international organizations for official events.
• Incomplete application forms which have not been duly filled-in in all fields, as well as those with missing documentation will not be accepted and will not be processed.
• Applications which contain false information or which are accompanied by forged documents will be refused. Forged documents will be handed over to the relevant Sudanese authorities for criminal prosecution.
• Applicants are kindly requested to bring with them the exact SDG amount payable for the type of visa they are requesting in cash only.
• Payment is due for processing and administration costs of each visa application, regardless of the final decision.
VISA COLLECTION
• No on-line booking is necessary for collecting visas.
• On the day of your appointment, the Visa office will let you know when to collect your passport.
• Visa applicants may delegate in writing, on the day of their appointment, another person to collect the passport on their behalf.
APPOINTMENT FOR A FAMILY REUNIFICATION VISA
• Appointments for family reunification visas may be requested directly at the visa office every Tuesday from 09.00 am to 12:00 am.
GENERAL INFORMATION
• There is no legal right to a visa. The final decision on the issuance of all visas depends exclusively on the Embassy, regardless of documents presented and fees paid.
• Information on visa requirements and procedures can be provided exclusively by official staff of the visa section at the Embassy and by the Embassy web-page. Please do not address anybody outside the Embassy in search for information and do not trust any person pretending to be able to give you information or to sell you a visa. Should such cases occur, please report the incident to the staff of the visa section.
