Scholarships

GRANTED BY THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-2019.
Deadline for applications (exclusively through the scholarship portal: https://studyinitaly.esteri.it): 2pm (local time), 7th May 2018.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, according to Law 288/55 and subsequent changes and additions, implementing the bilateral cultural agreements and related executive programs, multilateral agreements, intergovernmental agreements and ad hoc conventions for the support of Special Projects of Internationalization with Universities, Research Centers and Higher Education in Italy, offers scholarships in favor of foreign students for the Academic Year 2018-2019, with the aim of fostering international cultural cooperation, dissemination of knowledge of Italian language, culture and science and the projection of Italy’s economic and technological system in the world.
Grants are offered to pursue study, training, and/or research programs at Italian Higher Education Institutes, both public and legally recognized. The list of these institutions is available on the following website: https://studyinitaly.esteri.it. The call containing the instructions for the presentation of the applications and relative to the selection process is published on the new portal dedicated to scholarships https://studyinitaly.esteri.it, which contains useful information for students interested in studying at universities in Italy, in courses taught both in Italian and in English. Applications must be sent only electronically (online) using the portal https://studyinitaly.esteri.it, by 3.00 pm (local time), 30 April 2018. Applications received after the indicated deadline will be considered inadmissible.

Types of Courses for which applications can be submitted:

– Master degrees (Laurea Magistrale);
– Courses of Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM);
– PhD programs;
– Research under academic supervision (Progetti in co-tutela);
– Italian language and culture courses lasting three months;

For the Academic Year 2018-2019 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will offer to Sudanese citizens the monthly amount of Euro 900.00 (nine hundred euros) per month, starting from October 2018.
