The Cinque Terre Summer School, Summer School of Italian Language and Culture, offers ten scholarships for the summer 2017. The scholarships are reserved for those enrolling in the summer school’s in August and have a value of 450 euro each (covering 50% of the standard subscription fee for the three-weeks course).
In order to qualify for the assignment, students must submit a request for participation through the Embassy’s Cultural Office (e-mail: commerciale.ambkhartoum.esteri.it), which will communicate to the School the names of the applicants. In addition to scholarships, the school offers unlimited discounts for under 35 (more than 16%) and for university students and foreign teachers of Italian language (more than 33%).
The Cinque Terre Summer School’s formative proposal is based on three cornerstones: language, culture and territory. The school adds the discovery of the landscape and culture of the Cinque Terre, a national park and world heritage of humanity, an exceptional context of learning and a peculiar microcosm where the school expands in the territory to the traditional courses of Italian language and culture.
Scientific and Educational Supervisor of the Cinque Terre Summer School is Mr. Francesco De Nicola, Director of the Italian Language and Culture School for Foreign Students at the University of Genoa and chairman of Genoa Committee of Dante Alighieri. The school, is under the patronage of the Municipality of Riomaggiore and is organized by a non-profit cultural association.
