Cooperazione economica

The Commercial Office of the Embassy is mandated to monitor and promote economic and trade relations between Italy and Sudan and to monitor the performance of the Sudanese economy.

The Office's services include assistance to Italian businessmen seeking to access the local market, identification of business opportunities and assistance in the case of difficulties or controversies.


For information on economic cooperation and on trade and investment opportunities, please consult the service "Info Mercati Esteri" ( that, since it was activated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2012, consists in a completely free website conceived to meet the demand for information on foreign markets coming from the Italian business community.


The website is based on a dual path search engine, geographical and sectoral, and offers businessmen a wide range of information on country eonomic and political outlooks, on market opportunities, on partnership opportunities with local companies and/or Italian companies, on promotional initiatives, trade barriers, investment obstacles and possible risks, access to credit, and on the Italian presence and the state of bilateral relations.


The page "Info Mercati Esteri" dedicated to the Sudan is updated by the Commercial Office of the Embassy.


The link for "Ex-tender" is also available inside "Info Mercati Esteri". This website provides information from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on overseas business opportunities and offers a targeted service information on competitions, contracts, tenders and major projects as weel as interventions and initiatives of the European Union and opportunities advised by major multilateral development banks. Again the service is free and accessible after a simple registration.



The Commercial Office of the Embassy receives by appointment from Sunday to Thursday between 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
