1st TRADE AND INNOVATION WEEK OF ITALY IN SUDAN

In 2021, as in previous years, Italian business will participate in force to the Khartoum International Fair: 47 brands, eleven more than in 2020, are expected to be represented. In that framework, the Italian Embassy in Khartoum is happy to announce its first “Sudanese – Italian Trade and Innovation week”, a program of virtual and in-person events highlighting the potential of the partnership between our two Countries in the fields of technology, industry and innovation.

Opening conference of the project “A new Sudan through culture, technology and innovation”

The conference will launch the project, run by the Institute of Heritage Science of the “National Research Council”, Italy’s leading public research institution, in cooperation with the “Comboni College of Science and Technology” (CCST). The initiative consists of online workshops on new digital technologies applied to the cultural heritage sector. Their objective is to promote the sustainable development of the territory through the enhancement of cultural heritage by applying digital technologies to its knowledge and conservation, thus creating local business opportunities.

“Turn on the light”: challenges and opportunities of the Sudanese electric and electronic sector

The Italian Trade Commission has supervised a market research on the business opportunities in the electric and electronic sector in Sudan. The webinar will discuss the outcome of the study carried out by the Sudanese company “Consulsat” with the participation of members of the “Italian Business Federation of Electric Companies” (ANIE). Adoption of the “Charter of Business Incubators”

The E4Impact Foundation, a spinoff of the Universita’ Cattolica in Milan, has coordinated the work of five start-up incubators in Khartoum – Comboni College, +249, ImpactHub, Savannah and UMST – in order to provide aspiring Sudanese businesspeople with easier access to an integrated pool of knowledge and a network of potential partners. This webinar comes at the end of this project, funded by the Italian government and will see the adoption of the first Sudan “Charter of Business Incubators”.
